Project Overview
Clearline Drainage was appointed to carry out a comprehensive CCTV drain survey at Weldmar Hospicecare’s Inpatient Unit ahead of a planned extension and internal refurbishment. The survey was required to assess the condition of the existing below-ground drainage system and ensure no issues would impact the upcoming works or ongoing operations.
Our Approach
Working closely with the Principle Designer and Operations Manager, we scheduled the works during low-activity hours to minimise disruption to hospice operations. Our engineers conducted a full CCTV inspection using high-definition push-rod, capturing footage of all accessible lines connected to the affected area.
We delivered a clear, coded report complete with:
Line-by-line condition grading (to WRc standards)
Marked-up site plan
Recommendations for remedial works where needed
Outcome
The drainage network was found to be largely in serviceable condition, with only minor root ingress and a displaced joint identified near a key connection point. We provided a clear remediation plan, allowing the design team to proceed with confidence and avoid costly surprises during construction.
Our report was submitted within 48 hours and accepted without issue by Building Control and Wessex Water, supporting a smooth planning and compliance process.
